Library 2.0

I also believe we need to get away from the "just in case" collection. I see the need for more technology, not less with our customers. Being in an area where money is tight, we see many people coming in just to use computers, many of which wouldn't be in the library without the use of public computers. I've also talked to customers who love being able to use our reference materials online from home. The fact that we have wifi now has brought another segment of the population into the library, those who are passing through on business but need to connect to the internet for business purposes and/or personal reasons. It's been really good to do the activities on Learn and Play so that I can be of more help to our customers.
